Itinerary description
Although the road is rather short, this just happens to be one of the most scenic roads you will ever experience. The entrance to the road is clearly marked and can be navigated by most any vehicle although I would advise traveling at a very slow speed.
We spotted a herd of eight mountain goats on the trail and encountered a friendly burro in the vicinity of the waterfront. The beach is directly accessible by vehicle and the lake bottom is sandy. During our visit, the were about 5 tents in the area on a Memorable Day weekend.
This is a five star trail

Moderate
I agree that this is a beautiful route. Unfortunately, it has become way too popular due to it's proximity to Vegas and somewhat easy access to the shore of Lake Mead. It is now frequently crowded with campers and people launching their Jet Skis. As such, the road is now heavily wash-boarded and torn up in the few steeper sections by weekenders pretending they are in the Baja 1000 which is why I am marking it as moderate.
