Itinerary description
Sandy Valley North Trail originates at the north end of the town of Sandy Valley. It is a wide gravel road that carries a lot of heavy traffic from Las Vegas to Sandy Valley.
The road is a wide fast straight road that offers a beautiful view of the desert and surrounding mountains. There are a few side roads that offer unusual glimpses of the desert with no chance of getting lost. There is no fuel available in Sandy Valley.

Rode this trail in the middle of July 2015. As Nick says, it is wide and fast and easy to follow. I started on the Mountain Springs side and went South, through Sandy Valley, up to Good Springs, East to Jean and North back to Vegas. About a 2.5 hour loop from my house in the middle of Henderson. There is a 24 hour saloon in Sandy Valley and the Pioneer Saloon in Good Springs if you are into that sort of thing. :-)
