Itinerary description
Mix trail and road run.
The first climb from Stansstad to Bürgenstock is a hike in a mountain path (red white). No chance to run, poles will help and trail shoes with good grip a must. It goes up 500 metres in about 2 kilometres so it is steep-ish.
Once at the top you can enjoy a flat run through the Felsenweg which is a path cut into the rock wall that faces Luzern. Amazing views, with big drop beneath you.
After that I could not be bothered with more paths and its a gentle road run to Ennetbürgen (with very nice views of Vierwalstättersee, and from there a boring flat run back to Stansstad.
