Personally, I prefer a little less "pista" (road) and a bit more corriol (trail). But for that you'd have to take a 50km road to Sitges. Maybe next time.
I think this route is 15% asphalted, another 40-50% is gravel, but still road. Of the rest of the trail, a few km are river bedding (Vallgrassa). The road to the river is spectacular, steep, stoney, beautiful view.
One easy improvement for me, is to take a right after Can Planes and pick up the trail on the other side.
