Itinerary description
Every Saturday at 8am Duikersdrift Farm hosts Parkrun, a free event open to everyone to run or walk the 5km (3.1mi) route.
This incredibly scenic route, located in the Cape Winelands, passes by two dams, through an olive grove, vineyard, and farm paddocks, providing participants with an invigorating country experience. The course runs along a mixture of gravel paths, grass, and sand and has some slight hills. Some sections may accumulate mud in the rainy season. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place to guide you along the route.
After your run, enjoy a coffee or breakfast with fellow runners at the on-site Obiqua Café.
To receive a time you’ll need to register with Parkrun as per the instructions on their website. This registration only needs to be done once, allowing you to then enter any Parkrun – it’s that easy!
