Itinerary description
I followed the TRE 30k-loop track but ended up losing the trail quite often - it just wasn't my day 🤷♂️. Therefore, if you're planning to embark on this adventure, I highly recommend downloading the GPX data from the Trail-Maniacs website (https://trail-maniacs.ch/trail-run-einsiedeln/trails).
This trail turned out to be truly exceptional! Despite my navigational challenges, there were none fellow hikers or runners on the path. However, I did have some interesting encounters with locals searching for mushrooms, hunters, and farmers. So, in addition to the breathtaking wilderness and scenery this trail offers, I also had the opportunity to engage with friendly people along the way.
The trail both starts and finishes in Einsiedeln, which is conveniently accessible by train.
