Itinerary description
This is a lovely, flat, mazy, easy going trail. It starts from the north east of Empuriabrava and snakes it's way down to the beach esplanade before hugging La Muga back up into Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls de l'Empordà. The Parc is where it's all at for wild running surrounded by nature at its best. It's dead flat running across reclaimed marshland. Under foot the trail is a mixture of country road and softer man made paths, which can be a bit uneven at times but certainly not challenging. So you don't particularly need hardcore x-trail shoes.
The scenery is totally easy on the eye and a welcome distraction from the relatively high mileage of this trail. That said, there are so many opportunities to shortcut or even extend this trail further, you've got plenty of options. But what ever you do, if you're in the Bay of Roses neighbourhood head down to this gorgeous natural park for an awesome blaze. You won't be disappointed!
