Itinerary description
This is the 5 Lake Hike around but starting from the base of the cable car (i.e. no need to buy tickets). There was plenty of free car parking as of 15.8.2020.
The first 7.5 km are sadly asphalt. Could make sense to have road shoes or old worn trail shoes for this section and then change into proper trail shoes. The road is the more direct way to get up. It does not have much traffic.
It is a very scenic route and the higher section is very runnable.
You will always have company so better to do this route on a week day if you can.
We did it 15.8.2020 and it was too packed with visitors for what is a single line trail.
Moving time 4h22 min 7.4km/h
Schweizmobil route ascent and descent is 2350m + and -
If you want to cut it shorter and just enjoy the higher sections, link below to the cable car times.
