Itinerary description

A trail running in the mountains in the Shawka area. You will start running on dirt roads with minimum elevation, then continue in a technical section in a shaded wadi passing Shawka pools, and then will climb Shawka hump.

Difficulty.
23 km with 450+ m elevation gain plus a technical section make it moderate.

Time.
I finished it in 3.5h which is quite long. I came unprepared without gel and electrolytes. As a result, I walked the hump section because I completely lost energy. Expect to finish it within 3h.

Parking.
Parking coordinates are 25.104018, 56.039270. Can be reached by any car.

Must-have gear:
1) Trail running shoes
2) trail gaiters (optional)
3) 1.5-2 liters of water depending on the season (I consumed 1.5L in April) in a hydration vest
4) electrolytes
5) energy gel
6) Sunscreen
