Itinerary description
Start in Näfels train station
Uncomplicated run-hike up to the plateau where Obersee lake is
Then follow the signs for route 823 (Ahornen Rundweg), until at some point you will veer to the left to go down into Näfels via a different route.
Mostly mountain (red-white) uncomplicated paths. It can be narrow and steep in brief sections.
The only noteworthy tricky spot on 22 May 2022 is a couloir which accumulates snow.. about 15-20 metres wide... Snow was soft, but with icy conditions you would need to be careful (picture 6)
Done in 3h 10 min of moving time.
