Itinerary description

This trail takes an unconventional route along the edge of the cliffs between the starting point of Fortaleza de Sagres and finishing point of Farol do Cabo de Sao Vicente, the most south-westerly point in Europe.

Mostly, there are no marked trails and running occurs at about one metre from the edge of the cliff. Due to this and the technicality of the terrain with the sheer 50 metre plus drop offs, this trail is for experienced trail runners or walkers who do not usually experience vertigo.

One can make use of the public bus transport system from Farol do Cabo de Sao Vicente to Sagres.

Running along this edge face gives the true meaning of why this place is called the 'end of the world'!
