Itinerary description
Scenic and pretty and with a fun small Gratweg. Up to the Zugerberg is all yellow and then the higher sections are red/white.
The Gratweg lies north, under the shade of trees (hardly gets any light) and it accumulates a lot of rain, humidity, mud. It can be slippery.
If you do this route and you have not done the Gratweg either wait for dry days or do it going up (like I did). There will be small stretches of very inclined terrain where you have to hold with your hand and its nicer to do it dry and going up than slippery and going down.
The descent to Rufiberg is through zigzags/switchbacks that are fun and drier.
Done leisurely in 2h 4 min of moving time. Celebrated getting the first Moderna vaccine vaccination on the day..
