A minor but interesting peak. The peak looks very steep from the south, but from the east it's just a gradual ascent. There is a bit of exposure along the ridge. The approach is very long and dull along the road.

Very nice snowshoes hike from Brülisau to Fählensee, passing by Sämtisersee. Both lakes were frozen. I did it at the end of March - would have been difficult without snowshoes.
Conditions today, were good for hiking but not for views. Met up with some tough hikers from the NYC area, Brian, Steve and Chuck, that helped us break out the trail from Panther Brook to Panther Peak.
