Itinerary description

Zut Alors! SNCF wanted to close this fantastic line down despite its history and tourist attraction. There was a lot of protest and the line will now be part privatised. Lets hope it doesn't suffer as a result. From the next day we did the run the line was closed for track relaying. How long for I don't know. We did this run on 27th September 2015.
It was about a 15min walk from La Cabanasse to Mount-Louis and the train run took about 90min.
(This is a traced route but this will not be a problem)

Famous for its military barracks and being a walled village with a lot of character. We visited the solar mirror which was the forerunner to the much larger one at Odeillo.
