And from the large entrances enter from the doors of a small up to you to the courtyard of the castle wide and open from the top and inside see the small and beautiful arches decorate the entrances and windows overlooking the square Ophu Palace (Original) من أبرز المواقع الأثريه بمنطقة العيص والتي يُسميها -علماء الآثار - بالآثار الثابتة والتي تعود لما قبل الميلاد قلعة الفرع (قصر البنت) بناءٌ على الطرازِالروماني ويُعتقد انه يرجع لتواجد الرومان في الحوراء 28ــ 9ق.م تحيط بها الاسوار وتحتوي على ثكنات للجند وفواصل للتخزين وحجرات للمعيشه وله درج من الداخل يصعد إلى دور متكرر لم يبقى منه إلا القليل وهو مزود بدورة مياه عبارة عن حوض مصنوع من الحجاره ولاتبدو فيها ابراج تشرف على كل جنباته مما يؤكد على أن الحماية والحراسة والتحصين الاقوى تتركز في المباني التي سّويت بالأرض والتي تقع إلى الشمال والشرق . وتصل سماكة الجدران المبنيه من الأحجار إلى أكثر من متر تنقص إلى النصف في الدور العلوي . وتتتميز هذه القلعه بأنها محاطة بالمياه العذبة من كل جانب وتحيط بها الاراضي الزراعية الخصبه وتحُفها البساتين الغناء من كل جهه تبعد عن املج 90 كيلومتراً ويسهل إمدادها بالذخائر والمؤن وموقعها الاستراتيجي يجعلها تكشف الطرق لتسهيل المراقبة . وقد استمرت هذه القلعه في اداء دورها في عصر ماقبل الاسلام لانها تقع على طريق التجاره القديم المتجه إلى الشام والـمُسمى بطريق مأرب البتراء في العهد القديم . وعند الاقتراب من القلعة ترى فيها عبق الماضي الموغل في القدم تقبع القلعة على ربوه مرتفعه ليست منخفضه ولها مدخلان شمالي وشرقي يصعد من اراد الدخول اليها على عدة درجات ويسبب الهدم لا يرى الداخل للقلعه الا اكوم الحجاره المتناثره بكميات كبيره ويتميز كل مدخل بعقد جميل تزينه الاقواس الكبيره والجميله والمبنيه من الاحجار الجصية ذات لون ابيض اعطى للقلعه مزيداً من الحسن والجمال . ومن المداخل الكبير تدخل من ابواب صغيره تصل بك الى فناء القلعةالمتسع والمفتوح من الاعلى وفي الداخل ترى الاقواس الصغيره والجميلة تزين المداخل والنوافذ المطله على ساحة اوبهو القصر
