Itinerary description
It's not the first time nor the last that we drop by Showa kinen park in Tachikawa.
Famous for its alleys flanked by hundred of yellow ginkos and the resulting carpet of fallen leaves it is one of the most popular spots in Japan for autumn colors.
Just like the day before not a cloud could be seen in the sky, yet we were also on a tight schedule and originally planned to be back at Tachikawa station by 14:15.
After a few group pictures with the tripod we got to a kid's playground with many slides which Louis enjoyed. Nearby was an inflated hill with dozens of kids jumping on it, Louis managed to run to the top but lost balance and was sent jumping back down the slope, apparently he didn't enjoy it too much. I wanted to go to the far end of the park where there are such hills with age limits and Louis could enjoy while bigger kids are on different hills. However we ran out of time and Louis started to have a running nose so we shortened our trip and went back to Nishi Tashikawa station while Louis was asleep around 1 PM.
