Note géographique et géologique
Le Parc naturel des marais de Santoña, Victoria et Joyel est un espace naturel de 6500 hectares composé de l' estuaire du fleuve Asón, et des marais de Victoria et Joyel. Il compte jusqu'à 130 espèces différentes en hiver.

Note historique
Depuis le 9ième siècle et jusqu’'au 19ième siècle Noja appartient à la Junte de Siete Villas, une des cinq juntas qui composent la comarque de Trasmiera. En 1644, le roi Felipe IV lui accorde le statut de villa qui lui permet de s'affranchir du pouvoir de la Junte et de nommer son propre maire.

Geographical notes
The Santoña, Victoria and Joyel Marshes Natural Park is a natural area of 6,500 hectares made up of the Asón River estuary and the Victoria and Joyel marshes. It has up to 130 different species in winter.

Historical notes
From the 9th century until the 19th century Noja belonged to the Junta de Siete Villas, one of the five juntas that make up the comarca of Trasmiera. In 1644, King Felipe IV granted it villa status which allowed it to free itself from the power of the Junta and appoint its own mayor.
