Itinerary description
A nice family walk. Kids will definitely love it. Adults will enjoy the beautiful sceneries. It's like a thematic park with many waypoints. Well-maintained with many spots for picnicking and barbecuing.

The Holzweg Thal trail is situated between the Neu-Falkenstein castle ruins and Unterer Stalden in the idyllic Thal Nature Park, and enjoys a central location between Zurich, Berne and Basel. Different routes of varying duration take you past information panels and the multifaceted installations of artist Sammy Deichmann. These are sometimes harmonious, sometimes hugely rich in contrast, sometimes funny or strange – but always unexpectedly embedded in the landscape. Some of the routes are easily accessible with a buggy. The trail is marked with red posts, so that you can always be sure you’re on the right track. There is also a gorgeous playground for your little ones on the Holzweg Thal trail. The Holzweg Thal trail combines a tranquil natural setting with inspiring art, opportunities for play and adventure, and a wide variety of facilities that allow you to relax and unwind."
