Itinerary description
This is a circular tour starting and finishing on the front at the Hotel Triton. It is almost exclusively on streets, though as I had planned it there was a stretch of hiking along a local green path Sendero Arroyo del Pantano; I found the end of the path, but not its start.
I think most of the interest in the tour is situated in Benalmádena Pueblo, so it might be easier to get a bus here and back, rather than tramp the streets. However, the hills will give your thigh muscles a good workout.
The first sight of any interest is what i would call the windmill roundabout on the front. I then came upon a statue of the Buddha on Avenida Gandhi. On Avenida Juan Luis Peralla there is a Plaza de Toros.
Further on I reached the place where Benalmádena really started. The Plaza de España is a really pretty little square complete with orange trees. Further on there is a church with a square outside from which you can look over the new Benalmádena.
I walked on to the Colomares monument only to discover it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
It then seemed to be a long slog before I got back to the front.
Along the front the main point of interest before I got back to my hotel is Bil Bil castle, which is now a tourist information centre.
