Short city walk through the French village Beynac el Cazenac in the Dordogne

The village of Beynac is set in the "Grand Site of Aquitaine" area, together with 6 neighboring villages awarded for their peculiar architecture. Nested between cliff and river, the walk up on tiny paved streets to the Château's doors is steep but truly rewarding, with a few nice viewpoints over the river Dordogne.

After the chateau, this route continues eastwards and enters a small forest (WYPT "forest"). The path goes downhill and when leaving the forest, a paved road brings us back to the village, where we enjoy a nice meal in one of the many restaurants (see e.g. WYPT "Restaurant Maleville).
