Waypoints
Mirador del Camerón
The Barrancas of Burujón are a grupo of cuts that the erosion of the wind and water of the river Tajo have been making on clay soils. The fact that the terrain is fundamentally clayed makes the peaks and cayons red, this soft rock, that creates a soft relief, has been formed because the rainwater ir free and wild because of the wind. Also the rain is sporadic and does it terrotially. The total extension of gullies, or cayons, is aproximately one kilometer in length, around two large meanders of the Tajo river, and exceeds 100 meters in height at some points. Here there is a semi-erid climate.
Animals
In addition to the beautiful landscapes of the gullies, the large number of birds that can be seen here stands out: storks, ducks, herons and even less frequent species such as the peregrine falcon, the iberian imperial eagle or the eagle owl. Also near the fields that are sown we can see rabbits and hares.
Meander
This are named meandering menaders with curved river, these cruves are given that the river avoid hardest rocks and like this they lost energy, also the result is to see the meanders bank. The river is very full of water. In one side of the river is going to eroid and in the other is going to deposit the sediments materials. This is embedded= very hard.
Vegetation
This area is dry, so the landscape is similar to the one in Aranjuez because the weather is the same, with low rainfall. Apart from the clay gullies, there is a discreat vegetation. In the surroundings the fields are sown with cereales and almond trees, holm oaks, thyme, rosemary and bromo sprout. As we approach the resevoir, reeds abound in sandy areas and some willows. Islets of weatlands emerge within the reseivoir. When it rains, the amount of water is big. The temperatura in summer is very high and in winter is very low. The soil is very poor so no many plants survive here, one of this plants that survive is name Etipa Tenacissima.
Mirador del Valle Toledo
Here, in exchage, we have hard rocks called metamorphic, some examples are the neis and quartzite, and that makes the erosion not lateral but at the base of the river, riverbed. These are excavated meanders.
