Itinerary description
Wow, this was a long long trail... and one to be endured, rather than to be enjoyed. The NParks Park Connector should be called the Asphalt Connector, as the route was very exposed with hardly any shade cover. Walk only in the very early morning or very late evening, or be prepared to be burnt to a crisp. The coast road gets very busy after the early morning, with a constant stream of heavy vehicles passing by as well. Only do this walk if you want bragging rights (round island route, anyone?), or are masochistic...

in the early morning, the sun rises directly into your face if you are walking east, so bring sunglasses..

This was the best photo I could take here. It gets worse from here onwards (if such a thing were possible), as the traffic (and noise) increases exponentially, and there is even less tree cover.
