Itinerary description
Easy walk along the beautiful river Lima. Lots of shade and places to rest, picnic or swim. Trail starts in Ponte da Barca on a big shaded parking just west of the village and follows the river downstream. To keep the length at a manageable 14 km, cross the river at the spectacular Padreira bridge and return on the other side of the river. There is a nice shaded picnic area about halfway to the bridge, and another one just across the bridge, at the top of the stairs.
Close to Pte da Barca, the ecovia follows the river Vez upstream for a short while, crossing the Vez back to Pte da Barca, with a stunning view on the old roman bridge and village.
