Itinerary description
We had planned to make this out and back route take a different trail on our return at Estany de Lladres via the Prat de Pierro path. However, a storm started to roll in and we decided to descend the same route as we climbed.
It's basically 9km up and 9km down so it's a good work out for the legs and a great recharge for the soul.
You are simply following the Red and White stripe markings of the GR11.20 up the valley past waterfalls, through meadows and forest trails to the Refuge.
At the Refuge do take time to enjoy a well deserved beer. They provide great walking food that recharges the body
The vistas make this a must do trail and your beer the end will be well deserved.
