Itinerary description
English (castellano below):
Short walk from the town of Gandria to Mount Brè and back.
We started from one of the Gandria car parks, all paying (1 CHF per hour). From there we first got to know the small town of Gandria, with a lot of charm, next to the sea and with narrow streets, the truth is that it is simply worth walking along the path of the olive trees. From here you can take a boat to go to the smuggling museum on the other side of the lake.
Once we had visited the town, we got ready to go up and then continued going up. For there we use the archaeological path where we will see several ruins and we will cross a small forest for about an hour until we reach Bré.
In this town we will also make a small visit (although on the way back). A town with many sculptures, restaurants and very cozy corners as well as magnificent views. In addition, there are free public toilets. Up to this point, anyone who does not want to walk can go up by car.
From this point we can continue along the road until we reach the rack railway that takes us to the top or we can take some stairs to get to the restaurant with spectacular views of the lake, Lugano and the region in general.
Very beautiful landscape, 100% recommended and although there are several fountains, it deserves to pay special attention to carrying water, especially during the hot months.
Castellano:
