Itinerary description
Length: 5.699 km (3.541 mi)
For this traiI I recommend to have a look at Google Earth, because many POI's are shown to optimize or extend the track.
Optional additional visits :
1. The Liermolen (part of museum) One can see the mill in action. This is called a 'demo' visit included in Museum tickets. Groups require to contact museum De Mot.
Browse to https://www.mot.be/nl/beleven/onze-demonstraties#
But anybody is allowed for free (at first sundays of month).
There is no administration desk at the Liermolen.
2. You might be interested to visit a farm selling real 'Bio' products
3. A part of former airport of Grimbergen is now a public park (Lintbos). You might want to spot activity on the runway of the private airport club. Our track follows only a small part of the Lintbos. Grimbergen airport has been a very important logistics base for German occupation army during World War 2.
4. Not to forget a possible visit of the Basilic, still owned by munks (famous beer brewers) at START/END point.
This track was verified. For now, no pictures here. This area has been already documented with many pictures. Simply use your browser and search for Grimbergen.
