Cherry Orchard

It is easy to find cherry orchard of Misono Chuo Park. Because it is right beside the railway station. The cherry blossoms found there are predominantly Somei-yoshino type but easy accessibility from both public transportation and private cars make this park one of the most popular cherry-viewing sites in Hamamatsu.

Seseragi Hiroba (Water Play Park)

In this area there is a stream flowing from the top of the raised mound with garden of rocks. The water runs until 11 a.m except during summer holiday season (from late July to the end of August) when the water runs until 3 p.m. When it is dry the mound area looks something like dry landscape garden.

This wooded area has Sawtooth oaks and beeches (Quercus serrata) which bear and drop acorns for children to pick up.

Sewage-Pipe Slide

One of the unmistakable icons of this park. This sewage-pipe shaped slide is popular among children and even among some adults.

Maruho Shokudo

Typical Japanese style restaurant serving mostly set menu for lunch and dinner. I ordered Omelette lunch with miso soup and a bowl of rice.
