Itinerary description

You can start this at Maro too easily enough to shave off 30-40 mins (2 miles) each way. Straightforward walk mostly through pine forest, with a steep start climbing sharply up but then levels off with great views across the Sierra Tejeda hills and back to the coast. At the top before you drop down sharp left, It looks like you could carry on to the abandoned finca and then across to the pinarillo track too (to make it a longer walk) as the path carries on that way. Anyway, for this walk take the sharp left at this point and this zig zags down and then along the riverbed back through housing, under the motorway and into Maro, or walk back to Nerja. Take food and plenty of water as no stops en route. Refreshments in Maro though if needed.
