Itinerary description
This short walk punches well beyond its weight, as the rewards for an easy 4 km return walk are beautiful and can be enjoyed by all. In short, Ibón de Plan - or Basa de la Mora - is a lake at 1'910mts in the Huesca area of the Pyrenees. The valley is not connected to any river, and the water that fills the lake comes from snow and the ice that is accumulated at this altitude. Bear in mind that the 12 km dirt access road for cars starts in Saravillo. On foot, you could also consider the 2:30hr ascent [so I was told] from San Juan de Plan.
