Itinerary description

A very pleasant stroll through the countryside and orchards outside Xaló.
I forgot to stop recording when we reached our car so the trail includes the car portion back to Calpe. The actual walking distance is about 6.5 km and is very easy.
However PAY ATTENTION TO THE HAZZARD WAYPOINT (picture 4) near the start as we were attacked by a pack of 4 unrestrained mid sized dogs there. I was bitten on the leg by one. The bite required medical attention and antibiotics were prescribed for it at the Centre de Salut de Calpe.
This was the reason I forgot to stop the recording.

Dangerous pack of dogs here

This seems to be a homeless encampment under the trees. There were several dogs barking when we first passed this place but they were restrained so didn’t bother us. However on our return one of the dogs was at the path barking at us and within seconds three more came running out and surrounded us, nipping at our legs. One managed to land a good bite on my leg before the owner whistled and they all left us. The bite required medical attention and a course of antibiotics. If you are on this route, which is a very pleasant stroll through the countryside near Xaló, I would avoid this section as the dogs are very aggressive and dangerous. People we met said it’s not worth reporting to the police as they will not do anything, but you should be aware of the hazard here.

Nos gustaría hacer esta ruta, pero nos genera incertidumbre los kilómetros recorridos y el tiempo en movimiento, la hicisteis completa caminando, en bici o quizá en coche en algún momento??
    GRACIAS

I have updated the trail description indicating that a portion of the trail was by car and that there is a dog bite hazard at one of the waypoints (picture 4). This is a very pleasant and easy stroll otherwise if you avoid this hazard.
