Ko Libong - Ban Ba Tu Pute

Der Weg folgt viel der Hauptstraße aber ich wollte diesen ohne Motorlärm folgen.
Eine Tour quer über die Insel an Gummibaum Plantagen und Affen vorbei mit einem abstecher zum Ausichtspunkt Point Dugong. Kurz nach dem man rechts zum Ausichtspunkt abgebogen ist gibt es links einen kleinen Betrieb der den Rohgummi aufbereitet. Danach geht immer der Strasse nach bis man links abbiegt. Dann ist man fast am Aussichtspunkt. Der Eintritt kostet 400bht für Ausländer (30bht für Thai). Hier geht es dann über Treppen durch eine Höhle hoch auf den Felsen. Trittfestigkeit sollte vorhanden sein. Am Ende der letzten Treppe kann man noch weiter auf den Gipfel klettern das habe ich aber nicht gemacht weil ich es mir nicht zugetraut habe. Beim Weg runter kann man noch zu einer Terasse unterhalb des Felsen ( hintere Treppe links runter) . Auf dem Rückweg ( natürlich auch auf dem Hinweg möglich) kann man in einem kleine Café einkehren und dort ein Getränk zu sich nehmen und ggf. Roti ( Pfannenkuchen)essen. Die Besitzerin spricht ein wenig Englisch. Danach ging es weiter nach Ban ba Pute zum Landungssteg mit dem Turm am Ende. Mit viel Glück soll man hier Dugongs ( eine Seekuhart) sehen können. Ich habe keine gesehen dafür aber eine Seeschildkröte. Zurück im Ort kann man durch den doch recht ursprünglichen Ort bummeln und ggf. irgendwo einkehren. Von hier aus einfach mit einem Taxi Moped zurück zum Resort.

The path follows the main road a lot but I wanted to follow it without engine noise. A tour across the island past rubber tree plantations and monkeys with a detour to the Point Dugong lookout point. Shortly after turning right to the viewing point, there is a small company on the left that processes the raw rubber. Then keep following the street until you turn off. Then you are almost at the viewing point. Entry costs 400bht for foreigners (30bht for Thai). Here you go up stairs through a cave onto the rock. There should be surefootedness. On the way down you can go to a terrace below the rock (down the back stairs on the left). On the way back (of course also possible on the way there) you can stop at a small café and have a drink and, if necessary, eat roti (pancakes). The owner speaks a little English. Then we continued to Ban ba Pute to the jetty with the tower at the end. If you're lucky, you'll be able to see dugongs (a type of manatee) here. I didn't see any, but I did see a sea turtle. Back in town you can stroll through the rather original town and, if necessary, stop and eat somewhere. From here you can simply take a taxi moped back to the resort.
