Las Lagunas de Archidona, Málaga, Spain

Algunos senderistas empiezan esta ruta donde la fábrica de Yesos Las Lagunas, nosotros elegimos un punto más adelante en el carril de servicio de la A-92M donde hay una señal indicando la ruta. Aquí hay parking para coches. Hemos ascendido por un carril de tierra que atraviesa un olivar y desde el cual llegaremos a una bifurcación desde donde vimos la Laguna Grande. Bajamos a la orilla de la Laguna donde había bastantes pájaros. Desde la Laguna Grande fuimos por un camino al Cortijo de las Lagunas, donde comimos el bocadillo, desde allí bajamos a la Laguna Chica. Tuvimos la intención de rodear la laguna, pero encontramos que el sendero estaba difícil de seguir por la vegetación. Abandonamos la idea, volvimos más o menos por la misma ruta, al punto de partir. Es un paseo muy agradable y fácil. Pasa por un bosque variado, tres o cuatro olivares, y una vegetación típica de los humedales. Una vez dentro de la zona, dejamos de escuchar el ruido del tráfico en la Auto Vía y podemos apreciar el canto de la gran variedad de aves en su hábitat. Un toque gracioso, las vallas informativas dice “Por la conservación del espacio no se permite la caza, la pesca etc.”. Hemos encontrado cientos de cartuchos vacíos por toda la ruta. Después de la ruta fuimos a Archidona donde comimos muy bien en el Bar Central. La ruta no tiene vistas espectaculares, pero sí deja al senderista con una sensación de tranquilidad.
Some hikers begin this route where the plaster factory, we choose a point further along the service lane of the A-92M where there is a sign indicating the route. There is parking area for cars there. We ascended by a dirt track that crosses an olive grove, from which we reached a fork in the road. From here we could see the Laguna Grande. We went down to the edge of the lagoon where there was a variety of birds. From Laguna Grande we went along a path to the Cortijo de las Lagunas, where we had our sandwich, and from there we continued to the Laguna Chica. We intended to walk around the lagoon, but found that the path was difficult to follow as the vegetation has overgrown it. We skipped that plan and returned along the same route to the point of departure. It is a very pleasant and easy walk. It passes through a varied forest, three or four olive groves, and the typical vegetation of the wetland. Once we got to the Laguna Grande, the motorway traffic noise disappeared and we could appreciate the singing of the great variety of birds in their habitat. A funny anecdote, the billboards say "For the conservation of this area hunting, fishing etc. are not allowed ". We found hundreds of empty cartridges all along the route and there are many signs saying “Private Hunting Area”. Following the walk, we went to Archidona were we had a very nice meal in the Bar Central. No brilliant views, but a real sense of tranquillity.
