Los Puentes de Córdoba
Puente de San Rafael – Puente de Miraflores – Puente Romano.
The thing I noticed about the Córdobeses is they like their evening strolls. Córdoba has many areas and parks to walk in. A lot of them incorporate the main bridges in their walks. This is my version.
A great place to start is the Mezquita-Catedral (which is free from 8.30 – 9.30am, kicking out time is 9.20am).
Turn right at the monument Triunfo de San Rafael to the Alcázar. Then pick up the river path Paseo de las Almunias, by going down the steps (Sotos de la Albolafia). Carry on passing the old city wall to the Puerta de Sevilla, and then onto Avenida del Corregidor, going straight at the roundabout (with another monument to San Rafael), and crossing the first bridge Puente de San Rafael.
Once across turn left going down the steps back onto the Sotos de la Albolafia path, which takes you to the San Antonio Mill. Next you pass the tower Torre de la Calahorra and into the park Parque de Miraflores. Next crossover the second bridge Puente de Miraflores onto Avenida Alcázar Ronda de Isasa Ribera and then going over the roman bridge, Puente Romano back down to the Torre de la Calaburra.
Return over the Puente Romano passing through Puerta del Puente, past the tourist office *they have good free maps, and downstairs is worth a look also). Finally you make your way back to the Mezquita-Catedral to end the walk.
