Mezquita Catedral – Puente Romano – Puente de Miraflores
This walk starts outside Puerta del Perdón / Torre del Campanario, where you cut through the Patio de los Naranjos and go along the side of the Mezquita. Then turn left passing the Triunfo de San Rafael, Puerta del Puente and crossover the Guadalquivir river on the Puente Romano, where there is another statute of San Rafael. Passing the Calahorra tower (admission 4.50 euros), you go down steps to the Parque de Miraflores. Go down the steps and take the path adjacent the river.
Then crossover the Puente de Miraflores, turning right then left to Plaza del Potro, where there is a third statute of San Rafael.
We found a lovely bar for breakfast El Alpiste.
From here the Gps signal was way out on calle Cardenal Gonzalez until I turned onto calle Pozo del Cueto. Then you turn right back parallel with the river on the Ronda de Isasa road, then past the tourist office (which is well worth a visit, especially downstairs, and to get your free maps or information). From here you make your way back to the start.
A very pleasant river walk with a nice place to stop off, and lots of things to see.
