O Muíño da Balsiña Ruta A: Pena da Frisca (muy recomendable)

ES: Nuestra ruta corta favorita desde O Muíño. El GPS no funciona bien en el valle, pero la ruta es fácil de navegar. Nuestra época favorita para hacer esta ruta es de febrero a mayo, pero es agradable todo el año. Si tienes suerte oirás un cuco o un halcón peregrino.

Desde O Muíño no cruzamos el puente. Ascendemos por la pista pasando el aparcamiento hasta el primer cruce y giramos a la derecha. Continuamos cuesta abajo hasta llegar al río de nuevo. Donde termina la pista, continuamos por el camino del pescador hasta llegar a unos acantilados y enormes rocas donde el río Arnego desemboca en el Embalse de Portodemouros. Desde aquí tenemos que volver por la misma ruta. En el camino de regreso notamos muchos alcornoques que fueron quemados en un incendio forestal en 2018. Después de la caminata no olvides revisar tu cuerpo para detectar garrapatas pequeñas.

EN: Our favourite short route from O Muíño. GPS doesn't work well in the valley but the route is easy to navigate. Our favourite time to do this walk is from February to May, but it's enjoyable all year. If you are lucky you will hear a cuckoo or a peregrine falcon.

From O Muíño don't cross the bridge. Ascend the track past the carpark to the first junction and turn right. Continue downhill until you reach the river again. Where the track ends, continue on the fisherman's path until you reach some cliffs and huge rocks where the river Arnego flows into the Portodemouros dam. From here you have to return the same way. On your way back you will notice many cork oaks that were burned in a forest fire in 2018. After the walk don't forget to check your body for tiny ticks.
