Croscat Volcano

Croscat Volcano is a volcano in the comarca of Garrotxa, Catalonia. It is both the youngest and highest volcano in the Iberian Peninsula, with the last eruption dated back to about 14,000 years Before Present. This volcano is relative small. It has very steep sides and a cylindrical shape, is a Strambolian Volcano. This volcano is about 1,80 km, is not relative big. In this volcano we can find a little flat road where it will be easier to access, but then begins a long road with a steep slope.

The Santa Margarida Volcano is a volcano in the comarca of Garrotxa, Catalonia. This volcano is relative small. It has very steep sides and a cylindrical shape. This volcano is about 1,12 km, is not to long. in this volcano , however , from the beginning of the volcano there is a steep slope we believe will be more difficult to climb, we will tire more . A study published in 2011 at the Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research indicated that the Santa Margarida and Croscat volcanoes were the product of the same eruption event 11500 years ago, alternating freatomagmatic activity, between water and magma, and magmatic activity.
