Paseo Por el Sendero Fluvial Coín – Guadalhorce
This lovely river walk starts adjacent to the new park – Parque Leonor Princesa de Asturias.
Last month I did the whole route. The route I did today goes all the way up to Las Juntillas, the confluence of the River Pereilas into the Río Grande, where there is an information board explaining the area (6Km one way).
It is a lovely peaceful river walk, but unfortunately there wasn’t a lot of water today.
The whole route of the Sendero is 12.2Km long.
Río Seco goes into Río Pereilas, going into Río Grande, and finally merging with Río Guadalhorce. There is an abundance of different plants and trees, and also a lot of birds.
The beauty of this walk is that you can turn around whenever you want.
Underfoot it is a bit gravelly and stony in places, but I had no problems wearing trainers. I also looked around the park which was impressive.
Please note after rains there might be areas that are wet and muddy and awkward to cross.
