Itinerary description
Percurso de âmbito paisagístico e cultural, tem inicio na freguesia de Chavão, terra de lendas e achados históricos, conforme documenta o seu museu etnográfico. O trilho tem início na Igreja Paroquial de Chavão e segue a direção da freguesia de Carvalhas. Atravessa o Monte da Saia por caminhos de terra batida, onde se propõe a descoberta da Fonte da Pegadinha e do Forno dos Mouros, e mais à frente ver arte rupestre com a “Laje dos Sinais”. Seguir a Estrada da Rainha até à freguesia de Remelhe, terra do bispo e missionário D. António Barroso, onde se pode visitar a Capela de S. Tiago e a Casa de D. António Barroso, onde nasceu. O percurso segue ao encontro da Igreja Paroquial, Cruzeiro e Capela de S. Tiago.

The trail starts in the Parish Church of Chavão and continues towards the village of Carvalhas. It runs through the Saia Hill by unpaved paths, where it is proposed the discovery of the Pegadinha Fountain and the Iron Age Baths, and further ahead the rock art carved in the Stone of the Signs. Follow the Road of the Queen towards the village of Remelhe, hometown of the bishop and missionary D. António Barroso, where you can visit the Chapel of S. Tiago (St. James) and the House of D. António Barroso, where he was born. The trail continues to the meeting point of the Parish Church, Stone Cross and the Chapel of S. Tiago.
