Itinerary description
The current Quinta de la Fuente del Berro Park, located in the Salamanca district, is located on land that was known as Quinta de Miraflores, ordered by Felipe IV as a new Royal Residence.
After having various owners and all kinds of refurbishments, including operating as a theme park in 1900, the current park occupies a space of more than 13 hectares. It offers a landscaped garden with various levels and formed by meadows crossed by winding paths and rustic stone stairs. It also has a rich variety of trees. Among the elements that we can find are the monument to Becquer, the statue dedicated to the poet Pushkin, fountains, waterfalls and a couple of small ponds, as well as a smaller palace which remains its palatial past.
