Itinerary description
This very short walking trail explores Santa Margarita Circular in St. Augustine. I started logging the trail at the Gordon Street W.A.S.A. Booster Station located at 10.65243°N and -61.40027°W. This is at the corner of Gordon Street and Bates Trace. You’d walk west along Gordon Street and then north along Santa Margarita Circular (Western Entrance) at 10.65282°N and -61.40360°W. This section of the walk is winding and has some gradient. Sections of it also allows for alright views of the plains below as far as the Central Range on clear days. There’s a section at the top with shallow gradient followed by a descent down to the Santa Margarita Circular (Eastern Entrance) at 10.65189°N and -61.39829°W. You’d proceed along Gordon Street back to the starting point.
This walk can be done in either orientation and you can include Bates Trace for extra distance and gradient. Bates Trace climbs steeply along Lower Street to join Santa Margarita Circular at 10.65810°N and -61.40001°W. I find this short trek is best done in the early morning and late evening. There are sections with no foliage cover.
Happy Trails.

Easy to do and best done in the early morning / late evening.... An unusual amount of very large breed dogs on properties in this area... Fortunately the properties and well fenced...
