Itinerary description
Volcanic Route.
Rocks bathed by salt
This second route titled 'Rocks bathed by salt' will allow us to venture along 10 km of the beautiful northwest coast of the island, on a route of medium difficulty due to its constant ups and downs. From its starting point in Sardina del Norte to the fishing village of Agaete, we will be able to appreciate the wind turbines in the area, the magic of the Cuesta Botija or the Cueva Morisca, as well as the cliffs of Puntagorda and Farallón.
At the end of the route there is the possibility of taking a dip in the natural pools of Las Salinas de Agaete depending on weather conditions and time, so it is recommended to bring a swimming costume and light towel to avoid excessive weight, along with dry underwear to wear afterwards.
The route was OK but scenery pretty similar. The pools and the small port are definitely worth a visit and lots of fish restaurants there for lunch.
Relatively slow relaxed paced as large numbers in group and no pressure to complete in set time.
