Sendero del Mar Circular, Carvajal, Fuengirola
This is a new walk that Fuengirola town hall planned and goes along the banks of the Arroyo Zaragoza in Carvajal.
It is a linear walk of approximately 700m, some of it going uphill.
There is also a picnic area and an outdoor gymnasium near the start.
I have made it circular to make it more interesting. I started the walk on the breakwater to get some sea views in. The return leg goes through a pleasant urbanisation.
It’s a nice route to do, and has some nice views.
From the top you can see the Stupa in Benalmadena.
Your best bet for parking is on the paseo beach front.
There are many bars you can go to after the walk. I prefer Graniers which is not far from the breakwater.

Easy to follow and well explained. The Sendero del Mar is a simple zig-zag path up the side of a hill. The views aren’t great but the made up path is good quality. Not sure that the uphill is worth it. The way down, similarly, passes houses. Overall a good way to stretch the legs and justify a cake and coffee afterwards.
