Itinerary description
A nice walk for the whole family starting from the village and going over the dam and around the lake.
The first leg of the walk, on the northern shores of the lake, is being opened during summer 2019. As I write this in july it’s unfinished and there’s a couple of stretches, a hundred meters each, where you have to walk on the sidewalk close to the local road. The part already available is narrow - just 30cm - but nice and easy.
Once you reach the dam on the easternmost tip of the lake, the path becomes much wider, gravelled, and can also be cycled.
When you are finished if you are willing to walk more you can continue along the road in the pine woods onto the village of Splügen. It’s a gentle climb that makes the route twice as long
