Itinerary description

A round trip from Sussex Gardens, following the round island route to the south of Seletar Airport, then northwards to end at Rower's Bay. Then returning, with a short detour to the Oval and Hampstead Wetlands Park.

This part of the walk skirts the southern perimeter of Seletar airport, with views over the runway.

Nearly there..

This part of the walk follows a large monsoon drain with Seletar West link on the left hand side, which can be quite noisy with traffic. The walk is planted quite beautifully though, which is some compensation.

Rower's Bay

The endpoint! Rower's bay is located at the intersection of Yishun Avenue 1 and Seletar West Link, overlooking Seletar reservoir. Nestled amongst the reed beds, there are toilet facilities and drink vending machines. There is also a fishing area, and a short walks along southwards along Seletar Reservoir, sadly, far too short as several parts are still under construction.

If not a heritage tree...

...it should be one!

The Oval @ Seletar

A short detour into the charming colonial houses set around the oval, with some newly restored and others falling gently into decay. Also a view over Seletar airport apron area.
