Short walk through the impressive and vital historical center of the beautiful city of Prague, capital of the Czech Republic.
We will start our walk from the Malostranská Metro Station, which leaves us a short distance from the beautiful Charles Bridge, through which we will access the most monumental part of this beautiful network of medieval streets, without a doubt one of the best preserved ensembles that we can visit all over the world. We will highlight within this complex its famous Plaza de la Ciudad Vieja, around which we will find some of its best-known buildings. On our visit today we will visit the Klementinum (€12), "one of the largest buildings in all of Europe, it was built between the mid-16th and mid-18th centuries, originally as a Jesuit college. The tour includes the Astronomical Tower, in which meteorological measurements have been carried out since 1775, the unique Chapel of Mirrors with its rich gleaming interiors, and finally the Baroque Library, with its wall ornamentation and its precious ancient globes. " (information copied from prague/eu). We did not find it too interesting, among those that can be visited in this beautiful city (and quite expensive).
On our route today we will also approach the area to the east of the center, where some of the most interesting Art Deco buildings in Prague are located, such as the Municipal Building.
