Itinerary description
Walking - Cap Ferrat is a quaint peninsula just east of the city of Nice and comprised between the villages of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Beaulieu-sur-Mer.
Small beaches, sumptuous villas, limestone rocks and typical Mediterranean vegetation.
The walked section is about 12 Km with about 200 m of total elevation change along the Chemin des Douaniers.
*** NOTE:
- The eastern side, up to the Phare du Cap Ferrat (lighthouse) is suitable to all and poses no risks.
- Parts of the walk on the western side of the peninsula are right by the sea with with some narrow unprotected passages. Some ups-and-downs and stairs. Avoid with rough seas and always be protective with kids/dogs.
Easy access by bus line #100 from Nice. This track includes the bus transfers from #100 end-of-line station by the Port of Nice, to a stop in Beaulieu, and back from a stop in Villefranche.
