Itinerary description
We walked from Downtown to Government Center to Beacon Hill.
We took photos at the famous Acorn Street in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, which to my surprise had signs on the alleyway corners that read “Private Way. Dangerous Passing”, and “No Trespassing”, apparently to deter tourists from walking along the private way.
I asked a resident the why of the sign and if I could take a photo. She said the sign is there because sometimes there are hundreds of tourists flooding the street, but if it’s just a few at a time is fine.
Acorn Street at Beacon Hill is one of the most photographed streets in the country and is renowned for its true cobblestone road, gas-lit lamps, red brick sidewalks, and overall historic look and feel.
