Leave hiway at cabin creek road just past alterus. Drive in several miles to trail head, following signs.
Big pond was in way when almost to lake so we had to backtrack a ways to get up to the road. Battery ran low on phone so this is one way going to lake.

Forest ride suitable for beginners. The trail largely follows bridle paths, with a few crossings of other roads or paths. The access route goes along a quiet public road. We’ve had a very good experience doing this ride...
We should have had shoes on all 4 feet. Gorgeous riding. We had a great ride! So scenic. Water crossings. Lots of rock.

Horse ride, dry tracks. Don't ride along Tomahawk Creek track as there are to many tricky obstacles for horses. One section has a hand rail.

Preciosa ruta por la Punta de N'Amer primeramente a Caballo y luego Costeando por la peninsula , aprovechando cada rincon para tirarnos al mar y hacer coasteering por algun tramo de los acantilados. Entramos tambien en l...
Gorgeous trail but horses aren't allowed to the lake. The lake water was disgusting green. Somewhat of a disappointed
72° Beautiful day & trails. Rode Charlie with Karisa/Chili and Kelly/ Huck. Charlie did really well except a couple times at the end he needed convincing to do as I said instead of his own idea. Really great day!
The trail distance is only for one way. Looks like it was a little cold at the top of Mahogany Creek. These pictures were taken in the late fall at about 8,500 ft.
From Tash Rabat yurt camp to the pass Chatyr Kul with wonderful view of the lake Chatyr Kul Keep clothes for winter, the wind is strong!
Lu and I started at 5 and finished at 6:45. Went towards beaver and then on way back to subdivision, veered off right towards the slash pile dump and on around towards galena and came up and back to cabin by Rae’s. Sort ...

The ride is an 8 mile up and back Indians put their dead on rock shelves to keep them from animals. Locals still remember seeing remnants of ladders. Copper mines are located in the canyon. From the trailhead you m...
If taken in reverse, this is the safest and easiest route to ride from Monterosi, where there is a riding stables, to the Calandrina (where it can be arranged to host your horse for short periods of time, even one night)...
