Great way of El Camino. We were headed to San Vicente de La Barquera but the rain after Santillana del Mar was very hard and windy.

Pretty hard piece in the middle. Very hard to walk without a GPS. Hard to find path. But very pretty!
Day out in comillas, tourist trail palace, Dali house, exterminator Angel and horror house, good lunch in Flilopinos bar/restaurant, afternoon wine by the sea - perfect day

Very difficult trail on the first 3km. It's very steep, loose rocks and gravel. Any mistake could have been very serious. After passing that stage it's a very beautiful and peaceful trek. The photos are all from the fi...
Pleasant ride to the bodega and quick look at the village it’s in and then back to the bodega ;-) The bodega does guided tours 12-1 and then again in the afternoon but we were more than happy sampling the products…. Lunc...
A very nice trail within great variation in scenery: a part of the Camino de Santiago, a path through the forest along an old railway line, through open fields, along the coast. One minor issue: the part from the railway...
First part of the way goes through a canyon with mountain river with small waterfalls. You will have to cross it several times so don't forget your walking poles. The second part goes down from 400 m and you will see som...
The ninth stage of my Camino del Norte. A day that starts with walking along the street, which is never a nice thing. After coming into the village of Galizano the stage gets better and from then on we could follow the ...
Seventh day on the Camino del Norte. From the small town of Castro Urdiales in Cantabria the way goes further west to Laredo. This stage was pleasant in the first part but soon turned into a very boring stretch of wal...
Long steady climb to the pass into Valdeon. Stunning views the whole way. Followed by a long steady descent.
Lovely traverse in the morning followed by a more strenuous up in the afternoon and a long down into Arenos.
Inaccurate!!! We loved hiking this in reverse. However the last mile did not exist. We ended up hiking an extra 2 hours trying to find our way to finish! Either the trail had grown over or it was wrong.
The eith stage of my Camino del Norte. After a lot of asphalt finally a nice hike, always by the beach and with a lot of nice views.
Nice offroad route which starts quite steep here and there, but in concrete. Then on to dirt roads with beautiful views.
An easy walk through roads and farm tracks and along rugged windswept coastline, with a detour by the Castillo and Church on the return to San Vicente de Barquera
Nice and easy walk with plenty of Pico views but no technical difficulty whatsoever. In the way there is plenty of drinking water, more on the side of Espinama than on the Sotres side though.
The trail is no longer visible in many places. You have to keep checking that you're running correctly. The original route was given as 4 hours but we only managed a third of it in 2 hours. You are far up in the mountain...
Nice relaxed walk, doing part of a longer trail, with a little ascent. We returned at some point, but you could go further.
Ya he realizado varia...
Very easy going on big or small adventure bikes. And there's a lovely little cafe / bar halfway round.
Situación Santoña Tipo de firme camino de piedras, sendero de montaña y carretera Distancia 12 km. Tiempo 3 horas 18 minutos, sacando un montón de fotos. Comenzamos al final del paseo marítimo de Santoña, subimos un...
Mogrovejo - circular walk. This walk was done with three 7 year old children. It is fairly long and demanding but with enough challenges and changes of topography and scenery to maintain their interest. For example ther...
